To set your private combination of the combination lock:

Make sure the lock is unlocked - the default code is 0,0,0
Use a toothpick or pen to press the small button on the top of the lock to the right of the locking tabs.
A soft clicking sound can be heard.
Turn the dials to your chosen code.
A clicking sound accompanies the rotation of the dials
Slide the release lever to the left to set your combination and exit setting mode.
Your new code is now set.
